Greens Vegetarian Cafe

I started dieting on the last week of November.  Now I eat less and less carbohydrates and more of fruits and vegetables.  Whenever we go out with friends I make sure that the place were going to has a salad section on their menu.  I tried the salad at Momo, on Ayala Triangle and at UCC in Forbes Town Center.

Lately I'm on the look out for healthier food and the best places to have them.  I checked out Spot.ph list of the best vegetarian restaurants in Manila.  Topping their list is Greens at Scout Castor in Quezon City.

Been wanting to go there since last week, but when I called, they open at 12:00nn on a Sunday, which was a bit late for my 8:00 am appointment with my relatives.  Instead, we went to Sonya's in Tagaytay.

Today was the perfect time for us, and we were not disappointed.

Our meal started with the Cheesy Tofu for the appetizer and the Mix Green Salad.

21.  Check out the Malate Night Life.  For years, Malate has been the favorite destinations of Night Owls.  Malate and the nearby Mabini earned its reputation of being the red light district of Manila during the 70’s and early 80’s.  Nowadays, the Nakpil –Orosa Street intersection still host interesting nightspots.  You can catch a drag show and dance the night away at O-bar.  Go clubbing at Bed at the Orosa Courtyard, and Chelu, or just simply have a beer or two at the many establishments along Nakpil.  Café Adriatico is the only remaining landmark at the Remedios Circle and it’s worth a visit.  Try the Hot Chocolate or the Suman sa Lihiya with Salabat after fun night out.

11. Coffee in Greenbelt, or if you have some cash to spare, might as well go shopping.  I have included Greenbelt since its one commercial development that integrates environmental features through the use of wide and open spaces and gardens.

A few days back, I started on a project for myself.  I want to come up with 1000 things to do and see in the Philippines, before I die inspired of the TLC program, which has a list for the entire world.

Places to See in the Philippines Before You Die

I am already in my thirties when I finally decided to secure a passport.  I had this idea imposed on myself on not leaving the country without having visited all 7,100 plus islands of the Philippines.  I broke that promise due to the lure of international promo fare.

Just today, I came upon a facebook fan page Travel in Pinas, and they have an album set of 1000 places to visit in the Philippines before you die.

Instantly, I was reminded of my passion to explore the best of what the country has to offer by seeing the pictures.

Now, I want to come up with my own list.  It will be a checklist and wish list that I will try create as systematically as possible. 

I will start by listing down the must see places in each province per region.  I need to come up with at least 76 things to do per region to reach 1000 for all thirteen.  Metro Manila would be my first installment.
